As awesome and liberating our right to freedom of speech is, I've come to believe one harsh reality;
Freedom of speech spreads intolerance.
Freedom of speech is a gift and worthy of respect AND responsibility. But wielded as a weapon, it can have a devastating result.
So how does one uphold such a dangerous right? How can we know if a truth is revealed in this right to freedom of speech? I believe one way is by IT'S FRUIT.
The fruit of truth in freedom of speech is freedom.
The fruit of lies spewed in freedom of speech is intolerance.
One liberates, the other destroys.
